Whiskey Chitto Creek Description

A favorite floating river, the Whiskey Chitto flows from Ft. Polk Reserve, (Kisatchie National Forest) into the Calcaseiu River near Kinder La. This beautiful flowing stream is home to largemouth bass, striped bass, spotted Bass and bream. The river corridor provides habitat for a wide diversity of fish and wildlife species and provides related recreation opportunities. The habitat surrounding this creek is mixed pine-hardwood forest of various ages located on low, rolling well-drained hills.
